Work Package 9 was included to provide a platform for the exchange of knowledge, best practices, methodology and policy development on urban health through organising a conference for all parties interested in urban health. This Work Package was led by Gemeente Amsterdam.
The EURO-URHIS 2 final conference entitled ‘European Urban Health Conference: From Research to Policy’ was held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, September 12-14, 2012.
Over 200 delegates attended the conference; delegates had mostly a background in urban public health research and/or urban health policy but also included policy makers and the lay communities. Participants travelled from 24 different European countries and seven countries outside of Europe.
